NORTHAM BEACH CAFÉ, PENANG

December 18, 2010 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review Leave a Comment

Northam Beach Cafe is anopened beach-side hawker centre with beautiful view of the beach along Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, which was formerly known as Northam Road. It is housed within a converted bungalow which is part of the millionaire’s row.

Mua chee here is named as one the best in Penang.he steamed glutinous rice is being drizzled with a peanut sauce. They have many flavors and you can choose on what you want to mix and match. You can mix two from original, pandan and black sesame. Others include sweetcorn, original and green tea.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 3.00

Foot Long German Sausage is another featuring here. The Foot long sausage. The sausages are grilled and served with a special sauce. The sausage taste is not bad and quite juicy i can say.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 6.50

Famous Teluk Kumbar Prawn Mee is not really nice I can say. They are said to served tiger prawn. I can say the tiger prawns are not much flavoured and the charge for it is not really worth. The sauce is not really delighing, which I can say is too sour and perhaps spoilt the taste. Is really expensive for this.
Taste: 1/5
Price : RM 6.50

BBQ Kapar is the quite nice and the portion is quite small. The BBQ Kapar is quite spicy. The kapar is quite fresh as well.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 7.00

Shark Fin Soup which is my favorite among all. Though they are not using real sharkfin to brewed the soup but the taste is really nice and delighting. With the generous portion of crabmeat and the soup is thick,it really makes me in love with it. Sometimes, I can say the taste is even better than big restaurants.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 5.50
