Golden BBQ Steamboat Restaurant located along Nagore Street is a buffet style steamboat restaurant. Besides steamboat, you can also fry or barbecue food on the round pan beside the pot. Most restaurants that offer this style of steamboat are usually eat all you can for a fixed priceIt is very easy to find this place. Just look for the largest restaurant in that area, which links three double storey shop house. Business is brisk and the restaurant would be crowded with customers usually by night.
The selection of food is pretty good here, because they have to make up for both steamboat and BBQ. Although most of the food here are fish balls, seasoned meat and vegetable you will still find some seafood (cockles, kapah, prawns and mantis prawns! if you are lucky) The only gripe I have is the freshness of the seafood.. The prawns are soggy when cooked.. nothing is worse than that. Anyway, the seafood’s freshness was quite expected for a buffet styled steamboat.
