Prior to the event, all the participants were guided with a proper warm-up session conducted by the hotel’s Fitness Centre manager and also treated to a hearty breakfast after the event.
“In conjunction with World Cancer Day, we want to inspire our guests and associates to play an active role in the fight against cancer, by being physically active. This charity walk is a continuous effort from our previous charity walk back in October 2017 and we hope to continue to spread the message further than ever,” said Mr Manfred Weber, Area General Manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
February 4th is World Cancer Day, when organizations and individuals around the world unite to raise awareness about cancer and work to make it a global health priority. The theme of this global campaign has been “We Can, I Can.”, with the purpose of getting as many people as possible, all around the world, talking and thinking about cancer, with a view to educating the public on early detection and prevention.
