BUTTERWORTH CURRY NOODLES (北海咖哩面之家), RAJA UDA

The famous Curry Noodles (北海咖哩面之家) which is located along Jalan Raja Uda had opened a shop on its own which located 100m away from its original location. The restaurant now is always packed with customers during dinner time.

- The Dry Curry Mee-
The curry mee is slightly different from many places as you can choose add ons on your own. Add ons may include squids, fishball, taiwan sausage and many more. Aside, they have dried curry mee as well as soup based.
The one we had today is the dry style curry mee which is very nice. The soup based for the dried curry mee is indeed something different and the soup based is simply fantastic. It is furnished with the pig blood, tau kua as well as taugeh in it.

- The inside view-
The restaurant is decorated with the Oriental themed decoration. The shop is decorated with green chairs.

Since is tea time, we just ordered some snacks to try off. We ordered the egg tart. They have a variety of egg tarts to be chosen and we had its original egg tarts to try. Perhaps is kinda late and they have not much left for the egg tarts. The egg tart is not really crunchy but the filling is fill with the golden egg taste and is nice.

CINTRA STREET YAO TIAO, GEORGETOWN

Penang people would surely know this you tiao stall. The stall is open since early 70s by a lady named Ying Jie who is also a friend of my grandparents. Since a kid, we always buy the yao tiao from her and
It has been over20 years. The You tiao(油条) or you char kway(油炸鬼) started with a stall and now they moved to a shop but it doesn't has any signboard or even a name for this shop.

A lot of people love You Tiao here due to it is crunchy and aromatic. The You Tiao still remains crunchy next morning for breakfast with coffee or soy milk. That’s make it different.

After their opening in Krystal Point, they have their second outlet in 1st Avenue, Penang. Well located next to Master Choo restaurant, the restaurant is nicely decorated where it has given me a high class feels of it. As we step in the restaurant, we were greeted with a smile and menu is being served.

We started our meal is Sweet & Sour Fish with Pine & Nut. The fish is well made and they are using Garupa. The meal is well made with perfectionist and the sweet and sour fish is simply my favorite with the fresh meat.
