DIM SUM BUFFET AT THE EMPEROR, GRAND DORSETT HOTEL ( INVITED REVIEW)
It is a place for all, 1Malaysia can have the chinese dimsum here where the dim sum here are pork free. Grand Dorsett hotel brings the Chinese cuisine which is simply pork free where you can sit back and enjoy your dim sum with multi-cultural friends. The Emperor Chinese Restaurant in Grand Dorsett Subang is serving good halal dim sums and it is buffet so it would not kill your pocket though if you are a dim sum lover. The restaurant is located at the first floor of the hotel and you can see a beautiful Chinese style of bridge with fishes below it. Alike Shanghai style when you go in to the restaurant?

Let’s see what they have for their buffet. The buffets are being lining up fom cold starter to desserts. We start of f with the cold starter where they served us with 3 cute choices of delights which are the Fresh Crispy Salad with Sesame Dressings, marinated jelly fish and the cold sliced smoked duck breast served with shredded cucumber. The delights are well made expecially the jelly fish and smoked duck which comes to be kinda special and temptating.

Here we go to the steamer section where you can get the double boiled watercress with chicken soup which is very refreshing and the soup taste is kinda sweet as well.

If you love congee, they do provide as well. The congee is well made and the texture of the congee is very smooth. It is added with some nice condiments on top which make it taste even nicer.
THE EMPEROR CHINESE RESTAURANT, GRAND DORSETT HOTEL

During the Chinese new Year, we had our loh sang in Grand Dorsett Hotel. We had made our Chinese New Year Lo Sang at The Emperor Chinese Restaurant which is well decorated and having the Chinese New Year Feel. Being, a typical Chinese loh sang is always a MUST during Chinese New Year. Apologize for the late review.
We had our “yee sang” wih the style of shredded Pear “Yee Sang” which is well prepared. As usual the yee sang is being served with the strips of raw fish (most commonly salmon), mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments, among other ingredients. We are too happy to have the yee sang where forget about the picture.

Next we had the Braised Oyster with the Black Moss and Australian Butter Head Lettuce. The oyster is quite big in size and it is well braised. The oyster then is well prepard with a lot of black moss. The dish to me is kinda salty as well.

- The big Bowl of Shark Fin Soup-

- A small bowl of it-
Next we are being served with the Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Seafood and Egg White where the sharkfin soup is slightly different from those we had in the restaurant. The sharkfin soup is being added with some squids, and the taste is quite sweet as well. It is indeed a nice combination.

CHILLACUP, SUNWAY AVENUE
Chilla Cup is a restaurant which serves coffee alike Starbucks and Coffeebean but they also serves more than that like western meals and breakfast set on morning. The restaurant has been opened for quite some time and we decided to have a visit there.

The interior is well designed with different types of sitting experience and Wi-Fi connectivity. The place is cozy as well as it is a nice place to have a coffee and chats with friends.

The black forest cake is not really delighting for me as the portion is small as well as it is too creamy. The cream is very thick and not much cake texture in it .

Chendol @ Giant, Subang Jaya
Love Chendol? Unable to taste it in Penang? I had my another choice now which is having them in Subang Jaya. There is one famous Teowchew Chendol which is the same as in Penang and as famous as in Penang is now available in Subang Jaya Giant. The stall is located at the food court of Giant Hypermarket there. The Giant food court served lots of food but i din try yet. The reason travelling there is just to have a try on the Chendol which i had found out in the net which stated it is in the top-10 famous chendol in KL
The chendol comparison with the Penang is the same. As tasty as in Penang. Oishi desu.. It can say is 99% the same as the Penang chendol taste.
TRY IT !!
