THE CHEF’S RECOMMENDATION AT SANOOK!, KELANA PLAZA (INVITED REVIEW)

Sanook, meaning “fun”, is a guiding principle of Thai social life. Sanook is located in Kelana Jaya and it is just right by the lakeside, embodies that principle. The place is simply a nice place to go to for relaxing as well. I just love the place there with not just lovely food but also good service.

Thai snacks are one of the delights not to be missed in Sanook. One of it is Tod Mun Kung which is one of the famous snacks you can get in Sanook. One of it is Tod Man Kung where thai style deep fried shrimp cakes is being prepared with sweet basil. The snacks are good to have together with the beer too.

Alfresco BBQ Wings is the next we are going to try. This is where the hot and spicy smokey chicken wings are being served with roasted herb garlic and sour corn mojo, accompanied with sanooks's signature bbq sauce with it. The chicken wings is well made with the sauce which give the overall taste is good and I would like to have more. The BBQ wings is well marinated which turns the flavor amazingly great.

Macho Nachos to start off our day this round where the crunchy yellow corn tortilla with spicy zing, topped with hot chicken tomato salsa and melted mozzerella cheese. The crispy style of nanchos with the tantalizing spices is indeed a good mix to start off your meal.

MARCO’S PIZZA, KELANA JAYA
Marco's Pizza is located in Kelana Jaya. The interior design of the restaurant is red and white in theme and it is easily spotted from the Kelana Jaya LRT station. The restaurant is located just opposite the Kelana Jaya LRT station where you can enjoy the Itallian Cuisine there. I had been passing the shop many times and this time I manage to have a short dinner there.

We ordered the Marco's Signature Salad where the salad comes with vegetables of course and being dressed ith chicken, apple, crouton with sweet orange dressing.

P’RIOK STEAMBOAT, PLAZA KELANA JAYA
P'riok Steamboat is one of the deals i purchase from Groupon and I can say that this is one of the regret deals I bought. It is located at the lakeside with the beautiful lake view.
I had to make my booking a week ahead where it seems like super pack which give me a very high expectations on the food. Arriving at the place at 7.30 pm, there is no food served and people are waiting for them to served the soup based and also preparing the food. The soup was divided into two parts – a bubbling, fiery tom yam broth on one side, and a cooler white chicken broth on the other.

-The soup base-

What you can grab there for food? The variety is less where there is not much seafood to be choose except I can see a variety of fishballs as well as some standard seafood like prawns and crabs. There is squids, free flow drinks and ice creams as well.
SANOOK BISTRO AND SPORTS BAR, KELANA JAYA (INVITED REVIEW)

A place for a dine with a lovely view of a lake which is really cool and romantic. A place I had invited for review which is Sanook Restaurant. The dining restaurant, bar and lounge that is hidden totally some where in LDP which located this Plaza Kelana Jaya with a great view.

The restaurant has been there for about 2 years back with a large range of choices of food where you can find from east to west. Sanook is a Thai name with the meaning “fun”, is a guiding principle of Thai social life. The Godfather, owner of the restaurant who is warm and friendly owner introduced his staff to us. The positions are really intresting with the name people pleaser instead of waiter and chief food artist instead of chef. The Godfather had named the name as this is to have more FUN in the work environment and no barrier among the staff. The restaurant is accomadating nearly everyone from drinkers which can enjoy around the bar or pools upstairs as well as a romatic view of the lakes for lovers.
Chicken Rice @ Yat Yeh Hing, Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya
Kee Kee Bentong Chicken Rice at Restaurant Yat Yeh Hing, Kelana Jaya. In this Restaurant, there are many comments that state there is a very nice Chicken Rice Stall. As so me and dear went for a try to taste the chicken rice.
Yat Yeh Hing kopitiam is just a couple blocks past Kelana Jaya LRT station. During the lunch break, you can see a lot of cars and many people in the shop ordering big plates of chicken.. This is my first time here as was thinking to grab a plate of chicken rice but they don’t sell for personal except for the roast chicken. Even the pork and the char siew are also not served in personal set except you ordered a small one or medium or large
The bean sprout taste is also a bit weird.. and we don even want to finish them.. wasting our money
The portion I can say is a big one..and taste wise is not as nice as I expects it to be. The price is also quite expensive.
As for dear, he ordered the roast chicken which is ok only..but comparable, we still prefer the chicken rice in Sunway Mas or the one in Jalan Gasing which taste nicer
