FLAMINGO CAFÉ, FLAMINGO BY THE BEACH, TANJUNG BUNGAH

BLUE REEF FISH & CHIPS, TANJUNG BUNGAH
Blue Reef Fish & Chips is my visit during my trip back to Penang. I had been finding the location of Blue Reef but i really not to familiar with Tanjung Bungah routes. As so, my GPS now is my friend to guide me for this extravaganza Western Delights.
Swen Lin and her bf had opened this shop for quite something. The couple is real good in food. Our visit this time is making me indulge with the food here and it will be a comeback again when I am back to Penang. Not much to say, I had known that this shop had been blogged by many food bloggers and my visit here is not much a special.
This visit is giving me a chance to taste the delighting western food here. What we had ordered? Since both of us, we did not order a lot of food. I had the Fish and Chips which is their trademark of the restaurant. Blue Reef trademark fish & chips in choices of traditional Beer Butter or bread crump. Swen recommended me with the traditional Beer Butter which is a good try. The fish was fresh and they are using a very temptating fresh fish not those dory fish. I love it so much. The portion is quite big and the fish is very fresh and taste very nice. There is no fishy smell on the fish and the overall combination is great.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 17.00
The Aglio with Prawns is his choice of the day. The spaghetti with prawns tossed in olive oil, garlic and anchovies. The prawns are fresh one and the portion is big as well. For not a pasta lover, I am also feeling in love with it. The taste is simply nice. With Swen’s recommendation, the pasta is being sprinkled with parsley and chilly flakes.
Char Koay Teow and Sate @ Tanjung Bungah Food court., Penang
Char Koay Teow and Sate is also said to be found at the Tanjung Bungah food court. As for me , I don really love the place as they don have much parking and the environment is not really nice. They have the partition of Malay food which I can say HALAL food and another is NON-HALAL food which is the Chinese stalls.
I ordered the char koay teow.. though taste is nicer than in Penang but the quality comparable to Penang standard is really not above par lo. it is because the one I took have a bit of over cooked smell which make me feel is not nice o.
Other than that, we also ordered Satay. The sate is not bad.. but just I can see a lot of oil in between the satay meat..yucks… and make me think is not worth for the price. I can say is not very nice.. and the gravy is not really nice as well. Price wise is kinda expensive which is RM 0.60 per stick
Taste: 2/5 for both satay and char koay teow
Golden Sand Hawker Centre
Last week, I went to have a new try in a new food court at Tanjing Bungah called " Golden Sand Food Court". Though choices of the food are not as much as other places... but the place is clean as well have nice yummy food to eat ..em.. choices of food are not much.. but having parking places is my choice.. good parking.. haha.. the food court is jus nearby to the Tg Bungah hotel and its open in the evening ..

The food we ordered are yummy.. My sis ordered squids and kerabu tang hun.. while my mum and grandma ordered nice yummy sweet and sour fish and teowchew noodles. is yummy and is not expensive.
Lets see wat we eat...

Kerabu Bihun
The taste is nice.. is a bit sour and have shrimps and chicken and bits of squids in it. Other than that, it is has a lot of choice of food.. as well as.. and the price is about RM7-8 per plate.. we share dem.. and is kinda full having them. Other than that, we also some squids for makan.. Squids thats nice.. is big big one and the taste is fresh. And we dip them wif chily sos..only and the taste is superb..
-Yummy Squids-
Other things, we ordered are the lemak Laksa.. The Lemak laksa is a bit different cause is thai style.. is not the same style as Penang .. is abit hot and a bit too lemak.. hehe.. Other than that, the bihun is not the same as the normal laksa noodles.. suprising.. is more like Thai style where they also give u some lemon to squeze on your laksa.. so u have a bit sour.. as well..
