1997 RESTAURANT, PAYA TERUBONG

Looking for cheap and delicious Chu Cha? I used to visit the restaurant always when I am a kid and after so long I stepped back again to try their Chu Char there to fill up your hungry tummy without burning a big whole in the pocket.

397 1997 RESTAURANT, PAYA TERUBONG

Their signature dish for the chu char is the Asam Curry Fish Head. This is where the serving of the fish head is kinda big size and the soup is furnished with lots of bunga kantan, onions as well as mint leaves. The Asam Fish Head here is slightly special where the cooking style of the curry are more on the soury spicy taste rather than the lemak taste of it.

We had made a choice of the herbal jelly selection where we taste the sweet potato, barley and pearls. The set which is being served comes together with a small cup of cream. It is added to more enhanced on the flavors itself and the texture overall is good. The taro ball is kinda chewy and the taste bite of it is not bad but compare to Snowflakes, I still prefer Snowflakes.

The restaurant which is opened by the Thai, the restaurant is furnished is simple decoration. As that, we had visited the restaurant this round as we are nearby the area.

The restaurant is serving steamboat but we did not ordered the steamboat but we ordered their set meal this round. There is a variety of set meal to be choosen from RM 6.50 onwards

The set meal which we had ordered:

The Green Curry Chicken is being cooked in coconut milk with chicken, eggplants, lime leaves, sweet basil leaves, long beans and fresh shredded chilies. The Curry Chicken taste is not really spicy but as for the Tomyam it gives me a disappointment as it is not served hot. The tomyam which is served are warm only.

JADE BLOSSOM RESTAURANT, KRYSTAL POINT 2

Jade Blossom is a pleasant Chinese restaurant where they had opened another branch at the 1st Avenue. The restaurant is an ideal place for entertaining in a business setting in the Bayan Lepas area. This round, we came here for dad's birthday celebration and we had booked the restaurant there for normal dining. Unfortunately, dad's birthday falls during the Chinese New Year Season and we had made a decision to order their CNY Package instead of the ala-carte manual which they usually have.

The menu comes with the salmon and smoked duck yee sang which resembling prosperity. The lo sang is nothing special to shout out and we did not take any picture of it as well.

279 JADE BLOSSOM RESTAURANT, KRYSTAL POINT 2

Next comes the Sharkfin soup with the Eight Treasure where it gives me a slight disappointment. The sharkfin soup is not thick enough in its gravy. There is not much treasures which I can find in the soup and the taste is kinda plain as well
Taste: 2/5

281 JADE BLOSSOM RESTAURANT, KRYSTAL POINT 2
Next comes the Roasted Duck with Osmantous Sauce which is delicious. The duck is well roasted till crispy and fragrant and you can dip the duck with the Osmantous Sauce to have a better taste of it. The duck texture is quite tender in the meat and the skin is also quite crispy too.
Taste: 4/5
