Meals in EastCoast Mall, Pahang
East Coast mall is a brand new mall in Pahang which just opened for business not long and this time in our journey to Kuantan, I do not resist having a try in the food court there. It is situated at the top floor of the mall as usual.. and there is ample of sitting place availability there.
So, we started do our ordering as the style is similar with other food courts in Malaysia. Choices of food is moderate not too say less but not much as well. We ordered some of the food there which is inclusive of the fruity ice blended. By seeing its nice colors, I have no hesitation to ordered them
The fruity ice blended is similar like ABC but only the changes is on the ingredients where they put fruits rather than others.
Carolynn and Ah Lynn ordered the ABC. The ABC was simply nice as well.. which not too sweet. Oishi.
As for carol mum, she ordered the chicken chop. The taste is nice and delighting as well. As expected, the taste is quite delighting and the sauce is nice.
Me and dear ordered the Korean sushi.. er.. so so lo the kOrean style of sushi. Normal only. Nothing much to compare.
Carolynn ordered the kim chi mee which was really nice and the taste of kimchi indeed is delighting as well.
Lastly, this is what I regretted I ordered which is the mushroom soup that don taste really nice. Yucks
taste:
1. fruity ABC : 3/5
2. ABC:3/5
3. Chicken Chop:4/5
4. Korean Sushi :2/5
5. Kim Chi Mee:4/5
6. Mushroom soup:0/5
Breakfast @ Hai Peng, Kuantan
Early morning, Carolynn mum fetches us to a local food which is famous in Kuantan. This place is very cozy and its famous with the Kemaman coffee and many other locals. Dear, me and Carol with her mum as well went there for our breakfast
The place is kinda cozy and it is a style of going into a very old old coffeeshop like in Melaka. The service was very good as well.
We ordered a several choices of food so we are able to taste more as more choices as well. Aunty love the beef bihun which she ordered a bowl of it. As I don take beef, I will let dear to judge on it. The beef bihun is a simple yet there is a lot of beef meet as well. The herbal taste was heavy and the bihun was smooth either. Besides, the beef meet was tender which is not that hard to munch.. and the taste of it is excellent. Dear love it very much
We also ordered the Laksa, The laksa ingredient is a bit some sorts like Penang Asam Laksa .. but the noodles is different. Wat I understand is the mee is specially made. The laksa taste was special and nice. Is not too soury nor it is not too spicy. It has some taste of asam laksa but just the mee is different. Overall, the taste is excellent
Another famous food there is the bread. the bread is tender and nice. Not bad.. and is freshly toast and is not hard.
There is also a very nice Nasi Lemak which we ordered. The nasi lemak has a nice smell of coconut milk as well as the ingredient is nice especially the curry which me and dear cant resist. One word for it, is simply ichiban
Besides, we also ordered the signature drink of the shop which is the Kemaman Coffee. Kemaman coffee is one of the famous coffee..among the eastern side… and is a must to try if you are heading to Pahang or either Terrengganu. It has a very nice coffee smell
Lastly, we had also the teh tarik which is quite delighting as well. Not much too say but I can see the food here is nice and tasty with a good service
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 25
Chee Cheung Fan + Teh Tarik @ Restaurant KH, Kuantan
Oh ya, I forgotten about this coffee shop when I first reach Kuantan.. haha.. this is the first makan place when I reach Kuantan which is located in Taman Galing which the place I am going to stay..with dear. Carolynn provided us the accommodation and brought us to stay in their house.
So, we firstly started our journey makan after in the bus for about 4 hours. So, what we ordered is a teh tarik and a chee cheong fun to share.
The teh tarik I can say is very umph.. and after dear have it, he was not sleepy at all for the whole day.. but for me is not much side effect ;p.. but the teh tarik is really nice and delighting
Besides that, we order the chee cheong fun. The chee cheong fun here is not the same as the one we had in Penang or the hongkie style nor the Teluk Intan style. This one is similar to Penang Style + Yong Tau Fu.. which I can elaborate. The taste of the chee cheong fun is similar to the way is presented in Penang but there is a combination of yong tau fu.
Overall, the taste is kinda nice
Taste: 3/5 for all
888 food court Medan selera, Taman Sisek, Kuantan
During our trip to Kuantan, Carolynn also brought us to the food court at Taman Sisek. This foodcourt is quite big and it has various of stalls in there. From Local Kuantan food to some Penang Style food can also be found there.
Here, both me and dear ordered some food which we plan to have some light food so we ordered some light food which looks oishi to us lo. Some food which we ordered inclusive of fried chicken, jiu hu eng zhai as well as the rojak.. looks like mostly is Penang food le.
The fried chicken is nice just not that hot. ..as they had fried them kinda long and put them in the oven to keep it hot. Taste wise is nice and delighting just not that hot.. is just warm only.
for the jiu hu eng zhai is also very nice. The style is the same as Penang but the chilly sauce is just not spicy enough. Other than that, everything is nice and delicious. As usual the jiu hu eng zhai is served with the vege called eng zhai with the combination of cuttle fish and added with Sweet Sauce. and chilly paste ( if requested) and grained nuts.
Another we ordered is the rojak. The rojak is not bad as well. Just he ingridients not much as they don have some sour fruits which I love to have them in rojak. Otherwise, everything is nice
Overall is nice
Taste:
Rojak-4/5
Fried Chicken- 3/5
Jiu Hu Eng Zhai- 3/5

Meals @ K & Y coffeshop ,Kuantan, Pahang
K&Y coffeeshop in Kuantan is famous for its Lin Ko .. and the taste is real yummy and oishi. The lin Ko here is being fried and is kinda special of course.. as usually we use to bake them... emmmmm... special ma?? is seldom lo we have this here .. perhaps i dono much on this food.. haha.. so for me is kinda special kind of food lol..
Besides, we also ordered Leng Chi Kang as well which one of my favorite dessert of the day.. which I can say the dessert is not bad. The leng chi kang here is the same which I have in KL nothing special which have the same ingridients like longan and all. The taste is not bad.
As for a must have, is the 3 color tea. Perhaps is because when the tea is being brewed you can see the tea is having 3 different colors which as so it called the three color tea.. hmm..isn’t that incredible ??
And the taste is nice as well.. a bit not too sweet compared to teh tarik and the taste is similar to teh tarik which is more KAU..
Lastly, we had also ordered one of the famous food in the shop which is the fish head bihun. The taste is not bad..and the fish head is kinda fresh. I can say is nice.. as you can see the freshness of the fish and is not the one which is fried.. yum yumm…and most important thing is the smell is not hanyir one lo.
